  Different types of vegetarian 

At Chew The Cud we cater for every type
of vegetarian and vegans. This section is
where we break down the website into different
herbivore types and list all the recipes available
to them. If we have missed off any category
then please let us know.

Flexitarians
Part time vegetarian, generally still toying and
 getting used to the idea of becoming vegetarian.
All our recipes are suitable for flexiterians.

Pescatarian
Pescaterians eat fish but no other meats. They also
 generally consume diary and eat eggs. All our
 recipes are suitable for pescatarian, how ever we
 do not have fish recipes on this site.

  Lacto ovo vegetarians
These vegetarians do not eat any meat. This is
extended to gelatine and rennet. However they do
eat eggs and consume dairy products. All our
recipes are suitable for Lacto-ovo-vegetarians.
 
Lacto vegetarian
These vegetarians do not eat any meat, fish
 or eggs. They do however consume dairy
 products such a milk and cheese. We have
 dedicated a section to Lacto vegetarians.

  Ovo vegetarian
These vegetarians do not eat meat or fish.
They also do not consume dairy but do
eat eggs. More than often these vegetarian
would be lacto ovo vegetarians but are
 lactose intolerant. We have a wide range of
dairy free recipes for Ovo-vegetarians.
 

Vegan
Vegans do not eat and meat, fish diary or
eggs. They do not even eat any product derived
from animals such as honey. Many people
believe a vegan diet to be unhealthy and their
food is boring. This is however totally untrue as
 our vegan section demonstrates.
   
Raw Vegan
Raw vegans do not eat any meat, fish, diary
or eggs. Raw vegans only eat food which has
been cooked under 46c as food starts to loose
 nutritional value beyond this temperature.
 We are currently working on a raw food
 vegan section
