For those who do not know what plantain is it is a
massive highly starchy banana which grows all over the Carrabin. Its delicious and easy to cook. 1 Prep the plantain Peel the plantain, cut in half lengthways then cut again sideways. Cover in the oil and jerk powder then rub in gently. Leave to marinade over night, minimum 12 hours. 2. Fry the plantain Fry the plantain till golden brown on a medium heat. You should not need to add anymore oil but add if needed. Serve warm along with the rest of our Vegetarian and Vegan Jamaican dishes. |
