Omega 3 rich cereal

You will need:

100g pecans

100g walnuts

100g flake almonds

300g raw porridge oats

200g flux seed

300g honey

This recipe is crammed with flux seeds which are packed with Omega 3 fatty
acids, similar to those found in fatty fish such a salmon. Omega 3's are essential
  for all vegetarians to maintain a healthy diet.

1 Make the cereal

Mix together the pecans, walnuts, flaked almonds, flux seeds, raw oats and honey.

Spread out over a non stick tray and bake in a pre heated oven at 200c for 10-15 minutes.

The cereal will turn golden brown and the honey will caramelize as well as harden.
 
Once baked take out the oven and allow to cool completely.

Remove from the tray and crumble into a bowl, pour over your milk and enjoy.
Our Omega 3 rich cereal can also be crumbled over ice cream or yogurt for an
 amazing  vegetarian dessert.

2 Storage

Store in an air tight container. The cereal may stick together again slightly so simply shake
the jar to loosen.
